About 5 de Mayo...

In the United States, Cinco de Mayo is a day to celebrate Mexican food, culture, and traditions. Of course, it's also a great excuse to enjoy a margarita and a big plate of nachos, too. However, many who celebrate in the U.S. assume, incorrectly, that Cinco de Mayo is Mexico's Independence Day. But, it's not. Instead, just like Saint Patrick's Day is a day to celebrate Irish culture for Irish-Americans, Cinco de Mayo is a day for Mexican-Americans to show pride in their unique heritage.

So, by all means, celebrate Cinco de Mayo, but do so respectfully.

Throw a Mexican fiesta. Learn about Mexican traditions and culture by engaging with some of your closest Mexican-American friends. We can make Cinco de Mayo the perfect day to celebrate diversity, acceptance, and, of course, great food.

Delicious and historic, the taco forms part of the cultural and gastronomic diversity of Mexico. Eating tacos is an art, “the art of eating with tortilla.” Any day is a good to enjoy them… and as that famous Mexican saying goes: “A taco is not denied to anyone”.

If you always wanted to learn how to make them we're here to help!

Let's cook Mexican tacos while practicing our Spanish Skills!
